Max out. Roth well.

Things you're already owed that nobody told you about

The Senior Desk is a free club for seniors. Max walks you through each perk — the money the state may be holding, the Social Security timing that decides what your spouse keeps — and points you to claim it yourself. He explains; he never sells.

Free to join. Free to call. You never pay The Senior Desk.

What the desk does for you

The perks: 2 things you're already entitled to

Every one is the same promise — something that is already yours, or already about you, that nobody sat you down and explained. Max takes them one at a time. More are on the way; we only list the ones that are working today.

    Found money

The state may be holding money that belongs to you.

    Max explains

When a bank, an old employer, or a utility loses track of you, the money does not disappear — it is handed to the state and parked on an official list under your name, waiting.

Under Florida law (Fla. Stat. 717.135, 2026), a recovery company can take up to 25% of money the state has held for you.

Not for you if you have already searched your state's official unclaimed-property site this year — you are current.

The trap: a letter offering to get your money back for a slice of it. You never owe anyone a share — you can claim it straight from the state, free.

    Social Security timing

What claiming at 62, your full age, or 70 actually costs — and what your spouse keeps.

    Max explains

You can start your benefit any month from 62 to 70. Start early and every check is permanently smaller; wait and every check is permanently larger. Same lifetime, different-sized checks.

Each year you wait past your full retirement age adds about 8% to the check for life, up to age 70 (2026 rules); the credits stop there.

Not urgent for you if you are years from 62 — but the survivor math is worth seeing before then.

The trap: a spousal benefit earns nothing for waiting past full retirement age. Delaying that half is pure loss.

The first perk the desk runs for you: found money

States hold old refunds, deposits, and forgotten accounts that were never returned to their owners. The club checks whether any of it is listed in your name and points you to the official state site to claim it directly. The check is free and there is nothing to buy. See how the money check works.

Others charge to get your money. We do not.

Some companies mail seniors offering to recover this money in return for a share of it. Under Florida law (Fla. Stat. 717.135), that share can be up to 25% — $1,250 on a $5,000 claim. Members of The Senior Desk pay nothing. We show you where the money is; you claim it from the state yourself. See how the money check works.

Who stands behind this

Who runs The Senior Desk

The Senior Desk is the name of this free help desk. Marc Nock, a licensed insurance agent (National Producer Number 21010294), handles insurance help. Carriers may pay him when someone enrolls through him; you never pay The Senior Desk for found-money lookups, education, or insurance help.

That is the whole arrangement: the found-money check and the plain-language help are free, and you never pay The Senior Desk for anything.
